SOS LIBAN : 34 EV ONARILDI
4 Ağustos 2020’de Beyrut limanında meydana gelen devasa bir patlama şehri harap etti, 200’den fazla insan öldü ve 6.500’den fazla kişi yaralandı.
Patlama o kadar güçlüydü ve şehrin onlarca kilometre ötesindeki dış semtlerini de harap etti. Bu, yıkım ve hasar, zaten çok zor koşullarda yaşayan yoksul insanların mahallelerinden göç etmesine neden oldu. Birçok sakinin, patlamadan ağır hasar gören eski evlerinden geriye kalan taşların arasında yaşamaktan başka seçeneği yoktu.

Yeniden yapılanma çalışmalarımızı, önce en savunmasız hanelere yönlendirdik, ardından orta hasarlı evlerini onarmaya başladık. Toplamda 34 ev onarıldı. Tüm aile sakinleri tekrar birlikte yaşamaya başladı.Sayenizde aileler biraraya geldi

Şu anki mesleğim taksi şoförlüğü. İşe gitmek için sabah 8:00’de kalkarım ve sonra özürlü oğluma bakmak için saat 15:00 gibi eve gelirim. Ana kazancım bu ama her ay araba için de bankaya kredi ödemek zorundayım. Beni zorluyor. Şu anda eşim ve engelli oğlumuz Ali ile Nabaa – Bourj Hammoud’da yaşıyorum.
Yaşadığımız ev patlamada hasar görmüştü ama sizin sayenizde eskisinden daha iyi oldu. Su, elektrik ve tüm olanaklar var, kanalizasyon sorunları da çözüldü.

Our shelter response focused on repairing the houses with minor to medium damage levels (Level L1 and L2), in close coordination with the shelter cluster and the Beirut Forward Emergency Room, targeting the most vulnerable households.
The target of the project is 32 households with a minor and medium level of damage.
With the progress of project implementation, IRL was able to complete 34 houses, which means exceeding the target by 2 households. It is also worth to be mentioned that, according to the current plan with the resource mobilization of the available funding, IRL expects to cover more households.
However, the completed houses are not yet reflected in the financial report as they are still in the invoicing process.
